Emory Starting New Adventure! – Beginning in mid-February, Emory Kincaid will be setting out on a new adventure. During his ten years with South Star, first as a production employee, then as a delivery driver and finally as a customer service representative, Emory has been a great asset to me and to this company. I am very sorry to see him leave us but at the same time I am excited for him and the opportunity he has before him. I’d like to think we’ve finally got him trained and ready to be productive and useful. Maybe???? All kidding aside, I wish to thank Emory for all of the hard work and dedication to South Star over these ten years and wish him the very best as he heads out on his new adventure. Fortunately, we will still be seeing him from time to time since he will be going to work for one of our clients. (I certainly hope they don’t hold this against us in any way?)

Fotiou Frames Partnering with South Star – As of March 1st the complete moulding line of Fotiou Frames (pronounced Foh-TEE-oh) will be available through South Star. As with our current “Partners” Omega and Studio, any moulding in the Fotiou line can now be purchased in length or chop through South Star at a savings, plus you pay no shipping costs.
Fotiou Frames of Toronto has been a major trendsetter in Canada for over 34 years. Fotiou has most recently embarked on a campaign to expand and strengthen their presence in the US market. In partnership with South Star they hope to make the Fotiou name as well known and respected in the Southeastern US as it is in Canada. Fotiou Frames is truly one of the industry standard setters in both quality and unique design, working with artisans from all over the world, particularly Italy and Spain. As we have worked to upgrade our product line over the past few years we have looked to Fotiou as a benchmark. Our line now includes over 125 Fotiou items and is expanding.
We will be opening a Fotiou showroom in our facility around March 1st to showcase the line. Fotiou catalogs are also available through South Star or you can view the complete line online at www.fotiou.com.
Over 300 NEW Mouldings in South Star Color Catalog – There are over 300 exciting new mouldings in 2006 South Star Catalog and we are experiencing a huge customer response to our new offerings. We are working our way around to show off these new items but in the meantime, if you see some things you like in the new catalog please let us know and we will get you samples ASAP.
